Meal Ticket

Britische Country und Pub Rock-Band, aktiv in den 1970er Jahren. Auf dem ersten Album "Three Times A Day" (EMI und Logo, 1977) bestand die Band aus Rick Jones (vcl, key, g), Willy Finlayson (vcl, g, key), Steve Simpson (vcl, g, mand, acc), Ray Flacke (g, dobor, vcl), Jack Brand (e-b, vcl) und Chris Hunt (dm).

 

Sowohl Jones, wie Finlayson und Simpson waren als Leadsänger tätig. "Code Of The Road" (EMI und Logo, 1977) hiess das zweite und "Take Away" (Logo, 1978) das dritte und letzte Album. Auf "Take Away" wurde das Kerntrio Jones, Finlayson und Simpson von Rod Demick (e-b, vcl) und Alan Coulter (dm, perc, vcl) unterstützt.

 

Aus den drei Alben wurden einige Singles ausgekoppelt. "Keepin' The Faith" (Rock Machine, 1987) hiess später eine Compilation. Die drei Alben wurden als "The Albums" (Lemon, 2017) in einem Set gemeinsam und erstmals in CD-Form wiederveröffentlicht.          07/25
